The fountain equipment and Square turn 13 soon and although the Main Street Square staff is very diligent about their maintenance, all things need special attention with age. We have been working with specialists to determine that the necessary enhancements are completed by this summer.

The interactive water feature is treated with a UV disinfectant system as well as chlorine and is regularly tested with samples sent to the South Dakota Department of Health.
The water dances and plays to a set pattern and lights are added when the sun goes down to provide a show worth seeing.
NOTICES:
The interactive fountains may be shut off for maintenance or events and is subject to Main Street Square's discretion. The fountains will not run when winds are more than 25 miles per hour. In the event of high wind gusts lower than 25 miles per hour, the interactive water feature will run at half power. The interactive water feature will not run when temperatures are cooler than 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Fountains will be turned off in the event of lightning within 10 miles.
Fountain Rules
The safety of our visitors is our top priority. Enjoy the interactive fountains, while following these guidelines:
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Diapers are prohibited. However, swim diapers are allowed.
Running is prohibited.
No small toys of any kind are permitted.
The water is not for drinking.
Stay out of the cascade waterfall and rain curtain features between the spires at the corner of the park. These areas are not meant to be interactive and the water is not treated.
Stay off the granite structures that surround Main Street Square.
Please clean up after yourself by depositing waste in the trash and recycling receptacles.
Main Street Square is not liable for any accidents that may occur, or property left unattended.
