The contributions received are imperative in ensuring that Destination Rapid City and Main Street Square continue our events, programs and work. These donations are directly reinvested back into Main Street Square, the community and Downtown area. Our Mission

To bring life and foster Downtown Rapid City through economic development while creating a vibrant gathering space that is rich in appeal, cultural heritage, arts and entertainment for everyone, regardless of age, sex, race or economic background.

What We've Achieved

Main Street Square has become an iconic landmark for Rapid City and the Black Hills. A public plaza with waterfalls and a splash pad in the summer that transitions into the region’s only ice rink of its kind in the winter. Main Street Square works diligently to plan, promote and execute events downtown that attract an estimated 600,000 visitors annually. Signature events such as the Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival, Golden Hour Live + SD Made Mini Market, Cruiser Car Show and Bierbörse put our downtown on display while improving the quality of life for our citizens.
